Polytetrafluroethylene ( PTFE ) is a versatile engineering plastic having
a exceptional combination of many useful properties.
It is commercially known as PTFE.
Properties : PTFE has a number of noteworthy properties.
• Total resistance to virtually all chemicals including oxidising acids.
• Temperature resistance-service-temperature range -200oC to 260oC.
• Nonadhesive & anti-stick material.
• Lowest co-efficient of friction for all known materials & is self lubricating.
• Outstanding electrical properties over a wide frequency & temperature range.
• Non toxic non flammable.
• Excellent weathering resistance.
• Negligible water absorption.
Due to above characteristics PTFE finds many outlets in chemical, mechanical, electrical, defence & electronic industries. Our products such as seals, valve seats, packings bellows, bearings, protective linings, piston rings are currently in use in many industries. Apart from above components our company also offers stock shapes in rods & bushes of standard sizes.
We also offer PTFE Products
compounded with fillers to increase certain properties. This is done
using fillers such as Glass fibre, carbon, bronze, Aluminium etc.

Resistance
PTFE is chemically inert and
unaffected by all known chemicals, except alkali metals, fluorine, under
certain conditions at elevated temperature. Filled PTFE has inferior
chemical resistance due to presence of certain filler but superior
mechanical properties as compared to PTFE.
